Drawing a friend *u* and watching J-drama

Hi Hi, 

Today I mostly studied so it was pretty boring!

But I did do a drawing of my friend Nour for her 18th birthday (which was ages ago but I was away when she had her party so I didn't have the chance to give it to her yet) I will be giving it to her before prom though.

 I'm happy that it looks like her though it's not a 100% likeness because I kept changing the drawing whilst I was painting and ended up with a lot of differences. It's close enough that most people will recognise her. 

*details* I completed it in 2 hours and I was aiming for a bit of manga realism but it ended up more on the realism side...

I use water colour paint and pencils and OMG I love these pencils from Faber-Castell!

They are amazing in every way! Definitely worth the cost because you can use them as both colouring pencil and water colour medium. 

Its the medium size set :D Pretty rainbow!!!

J-Drama Review time!

I usually don't watch Japanese dramas (Strangely I prefer Korean tv) but thanks to Stella Lee I started watching Rebound!!!

 All I can say is that I LOVE this show and I've only watched 2 episodes!!!! (I'm limiting myself to 1 or 2 a day because studying....) lol but anyway it's unbelievably relatable (I mean it's about dieting so what's there not to relate to) and it gives you a kind of perspective about weight issues in Japan and their attitudes towards it. I'm obsessed with the main character (she's so loveable and sweet and I want to just hug her)! So I deemed my 1 hour of exercise time, Rebound time too to kill 2 birds with one stone and motivate myself. 

So far I highly recommend it :D (Still have 8 episodes to go!) 

Sorry for the boring post but like I said I didn't do much today. Looking forward to the prom and getting 1 of my exams out of the way in the next 2 weeks.  Might do some sewing in my break this week but I doubt it.

I will also be making a post on my Naked 3 urban decay palette which I got from Sephora recently :D

New hair do *u*

Hi Hi,

I went to get my hair unbraided and straightened today! I've had braids for the majority of the year and I was looking forward to seeing how much my hair had grown since I last had it straightened.

Super happy with the outcome! It was longer than I expected so I was really excited to try out some hair accessories. 

I love looking at hair styles from Japanese street fashion and I tried to get some inspiration! Here are some images that helped me decide what hairstyle I wanted.

I also had a quick flick through my Zipper Hair Book to get some more inspiration for ways to tie up my hair! 

I am also looking forward to picking a hairstyle for prom (*0*) 

What is your favourite hairstyle? I wish I had longer hair to do more elaborate hair styles but there's been considerable growth so I'm pleased!

Prom (graduation ball) Purchases!! ^u^

Hi Hi,

I wanted to share the items that I bought for my leaver's Ball which is basically the last party the 6th form get before we go off to our doom...aka exams XD 

Anyway, I started off by looking high and low for a dress. I went with my best friends the first time but we were really just messing around, seeing as we didn't have money to really buy anything at the time.

I was trying to find a red dress but i wasn't trying to be too picky because i just wanted to try on a bunch of different dresses....

I loved this dress but it was $500 and I was like helll nooooo! 

In the end I went for the cheapest dress but very pretty XD

So the dress I ended up buying was from Lipsy and it was about $110 which I was really happy about! 

I fell in love with the colour <3

Then I bought my shoes yesterday which were an absolute steal!

Besty Johnsons on super sale! I paid $40 with about %60 price reduction 

Super happy with this purchase though I was a bit suspicious about getting them for such a low price. I did some checking up online just to make sure they weren't fake! Actually they are 1/2 a size to big for me but I loved them so much I still got them, and they were the last pair in the Steve Madden store! 

I also bought this necklace from I am, I just wanted to add some more bling to the look because my dress is a bit on the plain side XD

I will be posting my get ready with me prom look on youtube once I do it! I will also do a room tour video and a what's in my bag video before I leave to move back to Australia!

Faye Litchi Cosplay progress and Art

Hi Hi,

I have been super busy with studying lately but I did make some progress on my Faye Litchi Cosplay! 

I started by looking at other cosplayer's interpretation of Faye then I picked my reference images. 

Yaya Han's Faye Litchi cosplay is lovely!

After I bought all the materials, I cut out the patterns ( which I made myself) 

Now I just have to sew it all together...But I need to still make all the accessorise. 

I wish I had more time to sew but with studying for exams and moving back to australia I barely have time to make anything...

But I did try a new style of digital art inspired by the popular Sakimi Chan!

I seriosuly idolise her.....

Elsa!! She also does AMAZING gender-bender drawings. 

Her style is so beautiful (it has both the realistic and manga inspirations!) It really reminds me of the LOL artworks for the skins but either way I wanted to give this style a try...

So that was the result of 1 hour of messing around on photoshop elements. It came out okay but it's not true to my personal style since I was just trying to mimic Sakimi-chan's method...I want to go back to basics and develop my own style with traditional methods (i.e Drawing with pencil and pen) That way I can develop my own digital style.

I had a blog before but I wanted to try a second time and actually stick to it.
